Janice was born in Lafayette, Louisiana on October 4, 1953 to parents Joseph and Emily Trahan. She graduated from Comeaux High School in 1971 and then went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Southwestern Louisiana (now University of Louisiana at Lafayette) in 1975.
After college, she began her teaching career at J.W. Faulk Elementary School where she taught for over 30 years before retiring in 2006.
In her spare time, Janice enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, reading, and attending LSU football games. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
A funeral service will be held at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Scott, Louisiana on Saturday, January 4th at 11:00am with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
