Under the General tab, enter a Connection name (this can be anything). For Server name or address, enter either your public IP address or hostname (if dynamic DNS is properly configured). Select Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP) for Type of sign-in info then click Save.
PPTP uses MSCHAPv2 for authentication by default so there’s no need to set anything else under Security tab> Advanced settings .IfMSCHAPv2 isn’t available for some reason then try setting CHAP or PAP instead but note that PAP sends passwords in cleartext and is therefore considered less secure than MSCHAPv2 .
