How Hard is It to Dent a Hydro Flask?
Hydro Flask water bottles are made of a special type of stainless steel that is designed to be highly durable. The company claims that their bottles are “virtually indestructible” and can withstand being dropped, crushed or otherwise damaged without denting. While this may be true in most cases, there have been some reports of Hydro Flask bottles denting under certain circumstances.
One customer reported that their Hydro Flask dented after being dropped on concrete from a height of about 3 feet. Another customer said that their bottle dented after being hit with a hammer. And yet another person reported that their Hydro Flask became severely dented after being run over by a car.
So, while it is generally very difficult to dent a Hydro Flask water bottle, it is not impossible. If you do manage to dent yours, don’t worry – the bottle will still work just fine and won’t leak.

Hydro Flask Repair
It’s inevitable. No matter how well you take care of your things, eventually they’re going to break down and need repair. The good news is, with a little bit of knowledge and the right tools, many repairs are relatively easy to do yourself.
This is especially true of Hydro Flask water bottles. With just a few supplies, you can have your Hydro Flask back in working order in no time!
Assuming that you’re starting with a clean bottle (if not, be sure to give it a good cleaning before beginning any repairs), the first thing you’ll need is some sort of epoxy or adhesive.
There are a variety of options available, but we recommend something like J-B Weld or Gorilla Glue. You’ll also need something to mix the epoxy with – a popsicle stick or an old credit card will work perfectly for this.
Once you have your supplies gathered, start by mixing together a small amount of epoxy according to the instructions on the package.
Once it’s mixed, apply it to the area that needs repair, using as much or as little as necessary. If you’re using Gorilla Glue, be sure to wet both surfaces that you’re bonding before applying the glue; if you’re using J-B Weld, only one surface needs to be wetted.
After applying the adhesive, allow it plenty of time to dry according to the package directions – typically 24 hours for Gorilla Glue and 4-6 hours for J-B Weld.
Once it’s dry, your Hydro Flask should be as good as new!
Hydro Flask Dented Bottom
If you have a Hydro Flask water bottle, you may notice that the bottom of the bottle is slightly dented. This is normal and not cause for concern. The dent helps to give the bottle stability when it is placed on a flat surface.
Conclusion
If you have a dent in your Hydro Flask, don’t worry! There are a few easy ways to fix it.
First, try using a hairdryer.
Set the hairdryer to the hottest setting and hold it about an inch away from the dented area. Move the hairdryer back and forth over the dent for several minutes. Then, use your fingers to push the dent out from the inside of the bottle.
If that doesn’t work, you can also try using boiling water. Boil a pot of water and carefully pour it over the dented area of the flask. Be careful not to burn yourself!
Let the flask cool for a few minutes before attempting to remove the dent again with your fingers.
You can also try using a can of compressed air. Hold the can upside down and spray it into the dented area.
The pressure from the air will help to pop out the dent.
